Joshua's Werk is a non-profit 501 C3 tax exempt employment agency. It is created to charter array of services for the unemployed, under-employed or those that are not in the right career path. Our intensive services offer skills training, education and a scientific measurement to ensure each individual are placed in the correct job position. As a full service employment agency, we build networking connections with employers so, individuals can increase in the number of jobs applied.
Background
Unemployment is an ongoing problem in the United States. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that over 5 million people in the United States are unemployed. In North Carolina, 188,00 people are unemployed. Due to the pandemic, thousands of people lost their jobs, and businesses closed. The increase of companies closing and the pandemic caused people to make difficult career decisions. A recent job report indicates that more than 55% of working Americans changed jobs or looked for a new career related to their passion.
When people change careers, the company must provide an intense training and development program to decrease turnover rate and risk. A recent study has indicated that 59% of the people claim they had no workplace training. It also reports that 74% of workers are willing to learn new skills or be trained to continue employment (Loman Educational Services, 2022). Statistics have shown that a career coach helps reduce the retention rates, encourages innovative thinking, and provides the confidence the employee needs to learn new skills and perfect their leadership in the current position.

Founder/ Executive Director
Mr. Daryl Israel Jr is a native of Charlotte, NC, and holds a BA from Montreat College. He has
over 15 years of experience in leadership and development. He specializes in helping businesses
create a diverse and positive work environment. Mr. Israel has more than seven years of human
resources experience specializing in employee relations in 50 states. Due to the economic
changes that impacted employment, Mr. Israel decided to help people in the community through
career coaching.
In 2015 he became the President/Founder of Joshua’s Werk, a non-profit organization that
charter an array of services for the unemployed, under-employed, or those not on the right career
path. He serves his clients by offering individuals and small businesses affordable career
coaching and recruitment tools with a concentration on a diverse and inclusive environment.
